The Scottish Pelagic Fishermen’s Association is investing in its own marine science projects to further enhance our knowledge of herring and mackerel stocks and ensure a sustainable future.

Such work is headed-up by Dr Steven Mackinson, chief scientific officer for SPFA, in a role that is supported by SPFA, Scottish Fishermen’s Trust and the Scottish Government under the auspices of the European Maritime & Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
